Since 1986, Dr Cassar has been utilising the diagnostic capabilities of infrared imaging thermography and the therapeutic effects of low level laser therapy (LLLT). Based on the clinical, thermographic and radiological findings a treatment plan is devised. Should an MMPI psychometric profile be desirable, this is undertaken prior to recommending any treatment.

Manipulative physiotherapy, masseur, acupuncture and LLLT treatments are then commenced depending on the case and circumstances as assessed. This is over and above traditional physiotherapy and anti-inflammatory measures.

Repair by anti-inflammatory action, collagen stimulation and increased blood supply are all recognisable laser benefits, as well as regeneration of denervated tissues with improved nerve conduction to 65% normal shown in animal and human studies.

A fully equipped gym, supervised by a qualified exercise physiologist, completes the multidisciplinary approach to chronic pain management in this clinic.
